"Hello, Mister Weasley." Genevieve greeted her boss before pushing a folder into his hands. "We've got a job," she told him. "Did you have a good lunch?"
Arthur opened the folder before taking off his coat. "Yes, it was lovely." He read the paperwork. "You have GOT to be kidding me. Really?"
( ...And the flashlight shows you something moving just inside the door; there's a tattered dress and a feeling you have felt somewhere before. )

Tonks is getting married on Saturday. We've been invited, and I think it may be an excellent opportunity for another driving lesson for Molly. She's be stroppy and whinge about it, but I think we both know that she really enjoys herself when she's driving.
Must check to see if Molly got anything for Tonks and Bishop (Bishop and Bishop?).
Also, I think there may be something wrong with Molly. She's been going to bed early most nights, and lays in on weekends. It's probably nothing. Still, perhaps I should check in with Ginny, and bounce that off of her.
No.
Scratch that.
Don't want to worry her; she'll only overreact and take things very badly indeed. I don't want her thinking that her mum has some sort of sleeping sickness.
Perhaps Nott instead.

Not as sharp as I used to be; perhaps writing thoughts down will help. Cannot let others see.
Things that are not right:
-What was Jones' motivation for the murder of Scrimgeour? It doesn't fit with Goldstein's motivations on the surface, so she must have been behind it. Or was someone behind her? She seems too far gone to control, perhaps, and rather arbitrary in her choices. Perhaps she merely chose the late Minister because she hated Hestia enough to want to frame her for something that serious.
-Allegations that Minister LeGrot and other ministry officials are involved in a secret organization. Don't want to believe this, but am beginning to suspect I should. I'd be the last to know, if it was, so maybe that's why I've not heard rumors from other sources than the Quibbler.
-Jones and Goldstein do not get the Kiss. This is inconceivable. I'm almost tempted to believe someone tampered with the Wizengamot votes, but that's not possible. Except for the above point. This implicates LeGrot even further.
-Harry was replaced on the Wizengamot, by LeGrot, claiming he was too close to it. In the past Wizengamot members with a personal stake have been allowed to maintain their position during trials, even when it was their family members who were victims.
-Harry's nomination to head of MLE has never sat well with me. LeGrot again. She knew better than to appoint someone with so little experience. It's as though she expected him to fail. Or perhaps wants him there for some other reason?
-The fluctuating value of the Galleon, as explained in the Prophet. Must speak to someone who knows more about economics, but seems whatever influence is causing this is not immediately obvious. Am I too off base here?
Unsure as to who I should speak to about this, but something needs to be done, if only to assure me that I'm becoming senile.
Why can we not live in peace?

Saw an interesting article in The Quibbler, and I don't mean the one I was quoted in. Every once in a while there's an article with more than a grain of truth to it. I wonder if this is one of those? It would explain quite a lot, even if it is difficult to believe I could have been deceived for this long - that we all could have been.
Keeping my eyes open.

It's been nearly two weeks since the events of the Ministry Ball, but things haven't seemed any less tense here on level two. The same gang of Muggle-baiters seems to be responsible for multiple disturbances, but given the commotion I've been given little Auror assistance thus far. Hopefully this shall be remedied before any serious damage is done. Thus far they seem to be containing their activities to the relatively harmless.
Is it really this late?
